Payments for website Listings as well as purchases of Freelancer Services and Projects are made to the Mpesa Till below. Payments are initiated via the Checkout process and completed via an STK prompt to your selected mobile number.
Freelancers will receive payments for completed Services and Projects to their bank accounts by initiating a withdrawal on their Dashboard. The minimum balance to initiate a withdrawal is Ksh 3,000/-
Payments made by Mpesa via the website using an STK prompt will generate an automatic Receipt which will be sent to the registered email of the user.
Manual payments to the website will need to be confirmed by the Admin once the user sends the confirmation and details via email. A manual Receipt will be sent within 24 hours once the confirmation is done.
When an Employer purchases a Service or accepts a Project submission from a Freelancer on the marketplace, they are prompted to make a payment to the website.
We then hold this money while the Service or Project is being completed. Once both the Freelancer and Employer sign off on the completion of the Service or Project, the payment is then released to the Freelancer’s bank account after they initiate a withdrawal from their Dashboard, minus the 10% Commission Fees for the website.
We have elected to incorporate this feature as a safeguard for both Employers and Freelancers. This provision ensures Employers that the work is accomplished and that they are not vulnerable to fraudulent practices, while also assuring Freelancers that they will receive timely payment for the services they rendered.
